About the Artist

Carolyn Buchanan

Carolyn’s art is deeply personal, drawing from her faith, relationships, and unexpected life experiences. Mixed media provides her with the perfect medium to explore these themes, incorporating altered paper, fabrics, found objects, and heirlooms into intricate, layered compositions. Each piece invites the viewer to look again, and then look closer.

Her work is more than visual—it’s a ministry. Through her creations, she sparks conversations about perseverance, suffering, and trust in God’s plan.

Some of her gifts are visual, some edible, and some intangible—but all are shared with the heart of someone who has walked through fire and emerged stronger. Carolyn’s story is one of resilience, faith, and creativity, proving that even in life’s hardest seasons, beauty can be found.

Carolyn has called St. Petersburg, Florida, home since 2003.

My art is a reflection of resilience, faith, and connection—layered with story, woven with hope, and grounded in the grace that carried me through.
